Conservation of water

Sir,
The national rural drinking water and sanitation week is being is celebrated in the State from the Feb 20 to Feb 25, it is in view of importance of water that the week is being celebrated to generate awareness to the general public regarding fair and judicious use of water which, according to the knowledge of Geological Scientists, is going to get less and less day by day. We see that the water level is going lower and lower day by day which may cause acute shortage of water within a span of few years. The problem in this regards can be solved if the people cooperate fully and make judicious use of water. The people  waste too much of water for unnecessary things such as washing vehicles, watering parks, keeping taps on and using water beyond their necessity. Overwhelming increase in population, industrialization and not conserving rain water, bad condition of wells and old natural reservoirs of water are needed to be plugged in order to overcome the deficiency of water for future generations. Otherwise time will come when the people will not be able even to quench thirst not speak of irrigating the land. The climatic change and use of chemicals are also responsible for water shortage. The highest temperature is responsible for melting of snow and ice on mountains.
Therefore, it is quite necessary that we take remedial measures to save water. In this regard water bodies need to be take n care of.
Yours etc…
