Congress should stop misleading people of Raipur-Domana: Bali

JAMMU, Nov 27: Former Minister and senior BJP leader, Bali Bhagat today lambasted the Congress for misleading the people of Raipur-Domana constituency.
While criticising the Congress leader, Bhagat said Congress and its so called leaders should tell the people of Raipur-Domana constituency about their achievements during their tenure in health sector, power, road connectivity & PHE. The leaders of Congress should visit Raipur-Domana constituency to see development rather than giving merely statements, he added.
Bali Bhagat said during last four years, he worked hard for the upliftment of various Panchayats in Raipur-Domana constituency.
He said a 100 bedded Model Hospital and a Government Degree College was established at Bhalwal and Mishriwala with a cost of Rs 21 crore and 11.5 crore respectively during his tenure. He said Sub-Centre Domana & Sub-Cenre Muthi have been upgraded to Primary Health Centres at a cost of Rs 5 crore each where as SCs have been started with internal arrangement in various villages.
He added that road connectivity of Raipur-Domana constituency was in shambles prior to 2014 and after assuming the charge in BJP-PDP led coalition Government, macadamization in Raipur-Domana has crossed 340 kms so far as construction of various roads and other projects were taken up which included Jammu-Akhnoor road with a cost of Rs 476 crore by NHIDCL, widening of Amb-Gharota road with a cost of Rs 20 crore , Gharota-Doomi road, Marjali-Kangrail road, Chack-Bhalwal road, Baran road and Purkhoo-Kanger Morh road & many more.
Highlighting other achievements, Bhagat said more than 448 transformers were installed in various Panchayats and Municipal Wards of the constituency during the last four years to cope with problem of low voltage. Three receiving stations have got constructed in Hakkal ,Jawala and Domana during his tenure as Minister for the uniform distribution of power in the constituency ,he added.
Bhagat said he released Rs 1.30 crore from his CDF in PHE sector from 2015-2018 for the constituency.
He said two vital bridges in the constituency viz Nikki Tawi bridge and Kanger bridge have been constructed while construction work of Simblibala bridge has been started and the construction of Mishriwala bridge will be started soon over the Ranbir canal for which the tenders have already been allocated. Moreover Paloura-BSF gate bridge has also been completed. Thirty bathing ghats have been constructed in the constituency while more than 3000 pension cases for old age people have been sanctioned during his tenure ,he added.
He said IIMC at Keran for which the land has already been acquired and two Composite Centres have been sanctioned for old age people and children for the constituency.
