JAMMU, Aug 24: Former Minister and senior BJP leader, Priya Sethi has strongly reacted to the Gupkar Declaration (GD) made by the six parties including Congress.
Priya Sethi said that “We all know that Congress is in total confusion and people of the India wanted to know that what is the stand of the party leadership with regards to Gupkar Declaration in which the party’s JK president, G A Mir was also a signatory.
She added that the GD is only to mislead Kashmiris once again and the difference is only that earlier they used to misled Kashmiris individually to grab the power turn by turn and now after abrogation of Article 370 by both houses of Parliament , these regional parties NC,PDP etc are trying to mislead the innocent people jointly and most unfortunate is that Congress is part of the Declaration where as the party claims to be most nationalist.
She said this way Congress trying to divide India on different lines. She further added that unfortunately the leader of the Gupkar Declaration is the sitting MP, Dr.Farooq Abdullah and if he was so sincere with people why didn’t he resigned from the MP post after August 5.
Priya said that “We saw large number of Indian flags on Independence Day in the Valley which should be the eye opener for the NC as well as PDP leader and former CM Mehbooba Mufti”.
“By making Gupkar Declaration they are feeling that they will blackmail Central Government which they used to do from last seven decades but they should know that it is Modi led Government and not any remote controlled Congress Government”, she added.
Priya appealed the people of Jammu and Kashmir to be cautious as these parties just want to create confusion in the sincere efforts of Modi led Government.
She cautioned people of Jammu too where few leaders of Jammu from these parties are giving statements for the Statehood etc. She added that Home Minister, Amit Shah in Parliament had made a commitment of restoring Statehood on appropriate time so why Jammu based leaders from these parties are trying to create confusion for their cheap political gains.
Priya Sethi added that Congress wants to divide people of UT of J & K as party president is giving one statement in Kashmir and its Jammu based leaders are giving another at Jammu. First they should clear what is their stand.
