Congress leader highlights problems of rural areas

KATHUA, Oct 14: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) senior leader and Ex MLC, Thakur Balbir Singh today demanded facilities in rural areas of Kathua.
During visit to villages of the district, Singh met a large number of people and Panchayat members at villages Dhyamyal in Panchayat Satura, Panchayat Mela, Upper Mela and Lower Mela and Chadwal and discussed issues of the rural areas.
The villagers complained about poor water and electricity supply and poor road connectivity in their areas.
The Congress leader assured that he will highlight the issues before district administration.
He also said that Dhyamyal has three tube-wells which are defunct and demanded that these tube-wells be made functional immediately to provide clean drinking water to the people there.
