Congress today expelled its senior leader and former union minister, Ramlal Rahi for six years on charges of anti-party activities.
The chairman of UP Congress disciplinary committee, Ram Krishna Dwivedi, has expelled Ramlal Rahi for six years for opposing party nominee in the last Lok Sabha elections, tarnishing party image and anti-party activities, a party release issued here said.
With this, Rahi has also been relieved from all the nominated and other posts he had been occupying, it said.
“A clarification had been sought from Rahi with regard to allegations of anti-party activities on him but he did not give any clear reply and had continued his involvement in anti-party activities”, the release added. (AGENCIES)
