THATHRI, May 24: Councillor of Thathri Municipal Committee, Asgar Hussain Khanday along with other Congress leaders here today joined Apni Party.
Apni Party president, Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari welcomed the new entrants into the party telephonically and hoped that their joining will strengthen the party in Chenab valley.
Apni Party district president Kishtwar, Mohinder Singh Parihar also welcomed the new entrants.
Meanwhile, Councilor, Municipal Committee, Thathri, along with block general secretary, Mushtaq Ahmed and some others party workers including Ex Naib Sarpanch Thathri B, Javed Ahmed, Nazir Ahmed, Ashiq Hussain and Javed Iqbal also joined Apni Party.
Speaking on the occasion, Apni Party provincial vice president and Ex-MLC, Syed Asgar Ali welcomed the Congress leaders into the party folds.
He said the political leadership has failed to develop Chenab valley where the condition of road connectivity is very poor in rural areas and clean drinking water supply is a distant dream.
“Health sector has completely crumbled in Chenab valley and hospitals here are working as referral hospitals,” he claimed.
