JAMMU, Mar 21: Terming the Congress and BJP as two faces of same coin, State president and Jammu Kashmir Democratic Front (JKDF) candidate for Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Parliamentary constituency said wrong policies pursued by the Congress from the beginning were responsible for the plight of people of J&K, whereas BJP exploited the situation for their political gains and helped only to exaggerate the already grim State of affairs in this trouble torn State.
On the one hand NC and PDP are pursuing the agenda of separatists at the same time Congress has given a new lease of life to separatist forces, by their ineptitude and wrong appeasement policies. Terming these group dangerous for the integrity of State , Gupta pointed out that these groups despite their separate ideologies have often joined hands only just to exploit the people and create the situations like that of 2008, 2010 and recent riots of Kishtwar on July 9, 2013.
During the public meetings at Dharmari and Arnas of Reasi district, Anil Gupta cautioned people about need to exercise vigil over these groups and keep the all factors in mind before exercising their franchisee in forthcoming elections for Doda-Udhampur parliamentary constituency.
Terming the BJP hype of Modi wave and Gujarat Model of development as ridiculous, Anil Gupta said the hype is being deliberately created only to affect the mindset of electorates whereas there is nothing like that on the ground especially in J&K.
People of J&K are enough matured to vote as per their consciousness, Gupta stated.
