Cong workers ask party to snap ties with NC

SAMBA, Mar 10: A meeting of Congress workers of Vijaypur Constituency was held at Gurha Morh, under the leadership of  Arun Sharma – senior Congress leader today. The workers from block Vijaypur, Purmandal, Bari Brahmana and Ramgarh participated in the meeting. They highlighted the several issues i.e. price hike of the domestic use items, LPG cylinder, kerosene oil as well as food stuffs i.e. atta, rice, pulses and vegetables.
The workers accused the Power Development Department (PDD) of sending electricity bills to contractors mentioning fake reading. They also accused the Government of hiking the electricity charges. The matter is quite serious and it is impossible for the common people to pay such huge amount, they added.
The workers also highlighted the problems of daily rated workers engaged in PHE Department since 2005. They said the Department has opted the pick and choose method while regularization the same. It is pertinent to mention here that some of candidates have been regularized who were not discharging their duties. The workers urged the concerned Minister to initiate the enquiry into the matter and provide the justice to the deprived  candidates.
The meeting strongly demanded that Congress should snap ties with NC immediately as continuance of ties with NC will prove costly for the Party.
Arun Sharma while addressing the workers assured that their demands will be put before the concerned authorities for redressal soon. He also asked the workers that they should be ready for the Panchayat election.
