JAMMU, Apr 7: Former Minister and JKPCC vice president Mula Ram today said that Congress will emerge out as single largest party and would return to power in the ensuing Lok Sabha (LS) elections.
Addressing a public meeting near Malpur and Kanger Morh in Raipur Domana Assembly in support of Raman Bhalla, Congress candidate from Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency, the former Minister said that Congress is the only secular force having great acceptability in all sections and three regions, as people have realized that Congress alone can ensure equal share and equitable development to three regions and all parts of the State.
Mula Ram said that the people of Jammu are feeling let down and betrayed, as their problems are accumulating with each passing day. He said the arrogance of power and lack of governance distanced the BJP from its core agenda and now people of Jammu are realizing the mistake of putting them into the cradle of administrators.
Dr Shakeel Ahmad Khan, secretary AICC said that BJP has exploited the people of Jammu region by crying hoarse over the so-called discrimination, deprivation and neglect but when it came to delivering, they just raised their hands. He said that BJP not only pushed the region to backwards but also turned out as a big obstacle in its development and progress.
Hari Singh Chib, DCC Rural president said the opportunist and power hungry BJP had no will to govern and lack of political direction plunged the State into administrative inertia and developmental paralysis.
JKPYC president, Uday Bhanu Chib highlighted the manifesto released by the Congress High Command, stating that in its manifesto the party has committed to provide free education upto Class 12th, besides, 33 percent reservation to women which could not be provided under the regime of BJP Government.
