Cong to observe ‘Maun Satyagraha’ on July 12

JAMMU, July 10: A preparatory meeting of DCC Jammu Rural and Urban was held at the party office in view of observing “Maun Satyagraha (Silent protest)” on July 12, in solidarity with former Congress president Rahul Gandhi organized by former Minister Yogesh Sawhney.
The meeting was chaired by working president PCC Raman Bhalla in presence of senior Congress leaders including Yogesh Sawhney, Th Manmohan Singh, Kanta Bhan and others.
While addressing the meeting, Raman Bhalla said that the entire world has seen how Rahul Gandhi has consistently been questioning and exposing the relationship between Modi and Adani, on various platforms. His courageous pursuit has forced the Prime Minister and BJP to resort to crooked measures leading to his conviction and disqualification from the membership of Lok Sabha. In spite of all these hardships, Rahul Gandhi has been consistent in his unstoppable fight against the misuse of power by Modi, and in fighting for the truth and raising the issues concerning the people of the country. Not just the Congress Party, but the entire nation has condemned this erroneous conviction and disqualification, and resolved to stand by Rahul ji in this noble fight.
Bhalla said that in the present circumstances, it is high time that we stand together and reiterate that Rahul Gandhi is not alone and that millions of congressmen and crores of people irrespective of their political affiliations are with him in this fight for truth and justice.
Under the leadership of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, in solidarity with our leader and in support of his fearless and uncompromising fight Congress party has decided to organise a massive one-day Maun Satyagraha (Silent Protest) in front of Gandhi statues, in all State headquarters from 10 AM to 5 PM, on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
DCC president Yogesh Sawhney was also present on the occasion and addressed gathering. Sewa Dal chief Vijay Sharma, Satish Sharma, NSUI president Ajay Lakhotra,  OBC Chairman Suresh Dogra,  Corporate Dwaraka Choudhary, Ramankant Khajuria,  Pawan Dev Singh, Sandeep Dogra Sonu,  Satpal Spolia,  Pawan Sharma, Jatinder Singh Chib,  Pardeep Bhalla, Janak Kumar, Mandeep Singh, Rakesh Sharma were also present.
