Cong playing second fiddle to NC: BJP

JAMMU, Dec 12: BJP State president and MLA Nagrota, Jugal Kishore Sharma today said that the Lalkar rally of party’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi at MA Stadium here on December 1 which got the tremendous public response and was one of the biggest public rallies ever held in Jammu, has shaken the Congress and National Conference (NC) alliance in the State and the days of their Government are numbered now.
Addressing a party meeting at Dream City Muthi in connection with opening of party’s district office he exhorted workers to fan out in the State to educate the masses about failure of the Coalition Governments at State and Centre and ensure victory of BJP candidates in forth coming Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting was organized by district president Akhnoor, Sukh Dev Singh Jamwal and district general secretary and ex corporator, Omi Khajuria. Hundreds of party leaders and workers from Marh, Raipur Domana and Nagrota constituencies attended the meeting which besides Mr Sharma was addressed by BJP leader of Legislative Party, Ashok Khajuria, former State president, Shamsher Singh Manhas, party general secretary organization, Ashok Kaul, Col Uttam Singh, Chander Parkash Ganga, State general secretaries Kavinder Gupta and Bali Bhagat.
In his address Ashok Khajuria appealed all the workers to highlight the misdeeds of Congress and NC alliance in the state. Terming Congress second fiddle of NC, he said it is the mother of corruption, price rise, unemployment at Centre as well as in the State. He accused the Congress of ruining the State with its cheap politics by entering into alliance either with PDP or NC to suit its political interests.
Shamsher Singh Manhas lambasted the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah for his total failure on all developmental and economic fronts.
State Gen Secy (org) Ashok Kaul appreciated the efforts of district Jammu rural unit in taking keen interest to set up the district office. He asked the BJP activists to fan out in entire State and remain in touch with problems of people especially living in far flung areas.
Former MLA Bali Bhagat and Kavinder Gupta said that Assembly elections in four states of MP, Rajasthan, Chhattisrarh and Delhi has shocked and upset the Congress party. Congress party should also learn a lesson from its past mistakes by imposing article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir with out the will of the people of the State.
District president Jammu Rural Sukhdev Singh and Omi Khajuria said that with the opening of the office, the long pending demand of the leaders and party workers of BJP Jammu Rural District has been fulfilled.
On the occasion party paid rich tributes to its youth leader and former general secretary BJYM Ramesh Raina who passed away recently and recalled his services to the party.
