‘Oppn has no match with contribution of Dr Jitendra’

JAMMU, Apr 10: BJP senior leader and MLC, Ajatshatru Singh while holding Pakistan responsible for the terrorist attack in Kishtwar yesterday warned it and its sponsored terrorists of dire consequences.
Talking to media persons at party Headquarter here today along with State spokespersons BJP, Brig (retd) Anil Gupta and Balbir Ram Rattan, he strongly condemned yesterday’s brutal attack on senior RSS leader who along with his personal security officer and a civilian attained martyrdom and termed this act as desperate attempt to terrorize the minority community in erstwhile Doda district.
He said that the patriotic community of the region cannot be terrorized with these ghastly attempts to destabilize the peace of the region.
Ajatshatru Singh took strong exception to the statements issued by the leaders of opposition parties, particularly Congress and said that they themselves did nothing for the society, region or nation during their tenures as Ministers and Members of Parliament. He asked them to count upon their contribution for the building of the society. He said that they remained in Government for the past 60 to 70 years, but enjoyed their privileges only and did not care for the innocent public.
Counting upon the achievements of Dr. Jitendra Singh, BJP MP from Udhampur Lok Sabha seat, Ajatshatru Singh said that only by his efforts, projects like Seed Processing Plant, Samba-Kathua road upgradation, Degree Colleges, Keediyan Gandyal bridge, 2 Passport Offices, 2 Medical Colleges, Shahpur Kandi Project, community halls, mobile towers along International Border, Devika River Rejuvenation Project, two Power Projects namely Pakkal Dool of 1000 MW capacity and Keeru of 600 MW power generation capacity, Juthana bridge Kathua, Water Park, two National Highway Villages, three prestigious tunnels including Chattargala, Khelani-Sudh Mahadev and Kaljugar connecting Himachal, upgradation of radio stations, War Memorial, Post Office branch at Gandoh etc. are a few of among the long list of the works done by the sitting MP, Dr. Jitendra Singh, whereas the Congress leaders who remained MPs for decades, have nothing to claim.
Those talking of Dogras and their honour, should first tell what they did during their tenures as Chief Minister, Ministers, MPs and MLAs, said Ajatshatru Singh and reminded them that it was Atal Behari Vajpayee led BJP Government which incorporated Dogri in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution. Again, it was BJP headed Jammu Municipal Corporation under Kavinder Gupta which got installation of two statues of Maharaja Hari Singh. On the other hand, Congress and NC conspired to force Maharaja Hari to live in exile in Bombay, he added.
He appealed the voters of the Constituency to not get misled by the false propaganda of the Congress in particular and return Dr. Jitendra Singh to the Parliament for the second term.
