Cong leaders’ plea to Rahul Gandhi

JAMMU, Oct 11: Senior Congress leaders said that it is a matter of proud and privilege that Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has successfully completed Kissan Yatra at a time when the farmers are suffering at the hands of the NDA Government, facing acute shortage of their necessities of life.
In a press statement here they further said that the Congressmen in particular and the farmers and fruit growers of J&K in general, extend their heartiest congratulation to him on this occasion of having organised socio-economic event of great importance in the current scenario.
They added that the Congress vice president was apprised through communication that the people of J&K are also facing undeclared war more painful than that of, which was witnessed during his visit of J&K in August, 2015.
Pradesh Congress leaders further added that thousands of people on border upto 10 km belt both on the LoC and IB have been forced to migrate by the State and Union Governments, without any contingency plan for them. War-hysteria hype created has also added fuel in to the fire.
The Congress leaders have sought intervention and visit of Rahul Gandhi to overcome the situation which has arisen due to three months turmoil in the valley coupled with unwarranted large migration of border people in J&K.
