Speaking before media persons on the occasion, senior Congress leaders condemning the incidents of violence in Kashmir alleged that the Central Government has completely failed to provide security to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Incidents of violence are increasing in Kashmir. Terrorism has neither stopped due to demonetization nor after the abrogation of Article 370 – the Central Government has completely failed to provide security,” they said.
The Modi Government garners votes by promising to protect the Kashmiri Pandits, but has failed to provide them security. When will the pseudo-nationalist BJP Government be able to control Pakistan-backed extremism?” they asked.
They hit out at the BJP Government over its “failure” on security front in Jammu and Kashmir after return of hundreds of Non-local labourers from Kashmir in wake of recent killing of their colleagues by terrorists. They said the Union Territory is in panic and terrorists are killing innocent people due to the Government’s failed policy in Kashmir especially on security front. Recent killings are not only a reflection of the Modi Government’s failure on the national security front but also expose their ‘nationalism’ facade.
Terrorists are running rampant through the region and our people are paying for this Government’s uneven policies with their lives,” they said. Present scenario in Kashmir has exposed tall claims of BJP Govt when it was directly under the control of the Central Government. They said innocent people were being killed in Kashmir and asked why was security scenario has paralyzed despite being directly under the central Government’s control.
They maintained that Govt needs to take affective measures to ensure peaceful atmosphere besides containing killing of policemen and civilians.
