SAMBA, Sept 10: Babal Gupta Executive Member- PCC and ex- councilor today said that the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has completely lifted lockdown restrictions and opened the markets for all days of week from 9:00 a.m. to 7p.m but the same has not been applied in Samba district.
Talking to reporters at Vijaypur today, he said the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi himself admitted that people have to make a habit to live with corona taking the precautionary measures issued by the Medical Department and further ordered that no lockdown restrictions will be imposed except in Red Zones and Containment Zones.
He said but the district administration Samba has issued the SOPs wherein it has been ordered that the market will be opened from 9:00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. and Sunday it will remained closed which is injustice with Rehari – Pheriwala whose business runs from 5:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m. He said that the people are facing hardships for completion of formalities for obtaining the Domicile Certificates because the issuing authorities are demanding the voter lists for year 2005 from those who have no State Subject and the voter lists are lying in D.C. Office where the public entry has been restricted. He said that the administration should make the provisions to provide the voter lists to the public from the tehsil offices of the district so that they may not suffer.
Babal Gupta further said that S.D.M. Office, Vijaypur has also restricted the entries of the public and the aggrieved people are feeling hapless. He said that the SDM, Vijaypur has assignment of Sub Registrar, Collector as well as Sub Divisional Magistrate but he has not fixed the schedule for acting as Sub Registrar, Collector as well as time to meet the general public. The Police Station, Vijaypur has also been closed as one of the cops was tested Corona +Ve. The criminal as well as land grabbers are taking the advantage of closing the functioning of Police Station.
He urged the LG J&K UT to issue the advisory to every department of district Samba to make it convenient to provide service to the common masses adhering the medical advisory and allow the entry of the common masses in the administrative offices so that the grievances of victims can be dressed and the aggrieved persons can get the relief.
