JAMMU, Feb 24: Two persons including an associate of a Congress leader were injured in a group clash at Bakshi Nagar here today.
As per police sources, two persons identified as Manpreet Singh alias Honey and Harpreet Singh alias Harry, sons of Harjeet Singh of Bakshi Nagar and Congress leader Surinder Singh Shingari and his associate Vikas Khajuria of Janipur entered into verbal dual over some old enmity at Bakshi Nagar today.
The heating arguments between the two groups turned bitter when Vikas Khajuria and Surinder Singh Shingari were attacked by Honey and Harry with sharp edged weapon.
In the incident, Vikas Khajuria received injuries near abdomen and was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where his condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
Manpreet Singh, who also received injuries near his ear was taken to Government Hospital Sarwal, where after first aid, he was discharged.
Counter FIRs stand registered against both the groups at Bakshi Nagar police station and investigations started.
However, no arrests have been made so far.
