BANI, June 15: Senior Congress leader and co-treasurer PCC, Rajnish Sharma (Mian) highlighted the burning issues of the people hailing from remote Bani constituency of district Kathua.
During a meeting of Congress workers of Bani and Duggan block held under the leadership of Rajnish Sharma, the locals of the area projects the issues of the general public and criticized the present regime for its failure to address basic issues of the people.
The Congress leaders/ workers of the area highlighted several local issues, such as erratic water and power supply, besides non-availability of ration and especially sugar. They said that there is acute shortage of ration in the area and people have not received sugar for the last 5 months. Moreover, condition of the roads has also gone from bad to worse. The local MLA has failed to address the issues of the people. They said soaring prices of the day today eatables has also added to the woes of th e poor public of the area.
Mr Sharma in his address charged the State Government with failure on all fronts and alleged that the Coalition Government, particularly ruling BJP, has no agenda of development but only slogans. He asked the party workers to remain vigilant and in the forefront to highlight the public grievances, so that the same can be taken up for redressal at the appropriate forum.
Others who spoke in the meeting, included Gias-ud-Din (Retd Tehsildar), Hazi Rashid-ud-Din, Jaswant Singh, Hans Raj Padha, Ghulam Nabi, Sanjay Kumar, Roshan Lal and Daleep Kumar.
