Cong leader demands restoration of power supply

KISHTWAR, Mar 22: Congress leader and member of civil society Kishtwar Shamsher Singh Bhandari has expressed concern over the failure of the authorities to restore the power supply in the Kishtwar town and other areas of the district after the recent snow fall.
In a statement he said the administration is totally paralyzed as it failed to restore the power supply in last over 10 days in the area and people are facing complete blackout.
Mr Bhandari said that power failure has also hit the water supply in various areas and the authorities are totally unconcerned for the same. Bhandari demanded immediate restoration of power supply. He also demanded compensation for the people whose crops in the kandi areas of Kishtwar and Doda districts were damaged due to recent snowfall. He said the revenue officials should assess the losses in this regard immediately. In an appeal to MoS Revenue, Sunil Sharma who also belongs to Kishtwar he urged him to issue directions to concerned officers in this regard.
