JAMMU, Nov 7: Congress today organized an impressive function in Gole Market Gandhi Nagar Jammu to intensify the signature campaign against the anti-farmer laws and new land laws for J&K.
The function was organized by former minister and vice president PCC Raman Bhalla along with DCC Jammu Urban which was also attended by PCC chief  GA Mir and other senior leaders including   Mula Ram, Kanta Bhan, Balwan Singh, Ravinder Sharma, Rajnish Sharma, Yogesh Sawhney, Manmohan Singh, Vinod Sharma, Hari Singh Chib, Ch Dwarka Nath-Corporator, Block presidents, DCC functionaries besides others who also signed the Memorandum in the presence of large number of Congress workers and people who too joined the campaign against the new land laws opening sale to outsiders apart from anti-farm laws.
Addressing the gathering PCC chief GA Mir said that the people of historical Dogra State have been deprived of their identity, valuable rights after the disbanding of the State and arbitrary decisions of the Central Govt on August 5, 2019.
Mir said that the new land laws have opened the flood gates for the outside residents to purchase lands in J&K and further generations shall loose their valuable land, as security of generations. Already jobs have been opened for outsiders through the domicile law, at the cost of J&K youth. This is against  the repeated assurances of the BJP led Central Govt to the people of J&K, who are realizing the heat now, after whole hearted support to the BJP in elections in Jammu.
Bhalla strongly opposed the new land laws for J&K and termed it against the interests of the residents of J&K. He said that people especially the youth are feeling threatened for their future because of the new land laws and domicile law and need to be revoked for which Congress will strive to intensify its struggle. He said that the farmers in the Country are against the new farmers laws which have threatened the independence and economy of the farmers in future. Congress would continue to fight for the rights of the farmers and people of all walks who are suffering a lot due to the wrong economic policies of the BJP Govt. at the Centre.
