Cong flays Admn for shortage of seeds, fertilizer

SUNDERBANI, Nov 20: The Jammu and Kashmir Congress Committee’s senior leader and former MLC, Ravinder Sharma has lashed out at the administration over shortage of seeds & fertilizers to farmers especially în Sunderbani and other parts of Nowshera and Kalakot in Rajouri district and demanded immediate supply of adequate quantity of seeds and fertilizer to the farmers.
Ex-MLC Ravinder Sharma was apprised by the farming community during his tour of Sunderbani and adjoining areas of Kalakote and Nowshera areas about non availability of required quantity of fertilizers especially DAP besides seeds, demanding immediate availability of quality seeds of wheat as well as pulses for the season by the department. The shortage of quality seeds and required quantity of fertilizers is matter of serious concern to the farming community who are already in great distress.
The farmers suffer a lot în the absence of timely supply of seeds and fertilizer which affects their productions and loss of income to farmers .
Low productions of crops lead to rise in prices of all commodities of foods. He urged the Government to take care of the needs of the farming community who are under great economic distress due to wrong economic policies.
