Confederation to discuss pros, cons of abrogation of Articles

JAMMU, Aug 12: In a meeting of executive body of All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations here today abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A was discussed.
The meeting decided to hold a debate after August 15 to discuss pros and cons of the situation after abrogation of the Articles and the opinions coming out will be submitted to the President of India and Prime Minister.
Speaking in the meeting, Confederation J&K President, R.K Kalsotra claimed that a well framed propaganda was made that in J&K injustice was being done with SC, ST, OBC, refugees and Valmiki community.
He said that reality was: “Majority laws which have been passed time to time by Parliament are not included in 106 laws which are approved by the Central Government. Such dropped law are Parliament Amendments 77th, 81st, 82nd, 85th, National Commission for SCs, STs, OBCs, Backward Classes Commission.”
He asked what special provisions are now being made for refugees and Valmikis for their welfare.
