KATHUA, Aug 24: All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations today framed Bani unit during awareness campaign at Bani town today.
A large number of members of these communities from surrounding areas participated in the programme. All the participants unanimously framed a new Bani unit of Confederation and nominating Mahesh Kumar as its president; Sanjay Kumar, Bichiter Singh, Anu Devi and Naresh Kumar as vice presidents; Jia Lal as general secretary, Prithvi Raj – joint secretary, Dev Raj as advisor while as Khem Raj and Moti Ram- cashier/publicity secretaries.
Thakur Dass was nominated as chairman, Sudesh Phagan as vice chairman, Rakesh Umar, Shadi Lal, Madan Lal, Prem Lal, Rohan Lal, Anjrej Singh, Ravi Kumar and Des Raj as executive members.
R K Kalsotra, state unit president addressed the gathering and educated them about the their rights and recent developments in the State. He appealed them to get united under one umbrella for their common cause.
