Conductor dies of electric shock

KATHUA, June 1: A conductor was killed after receiving a shock of a live high tension line at Hatli Morh today.
He was identified as Sukhpreet Singh, S/o Babu Ram of Ferozpur Punjab.
The conductor was laying the canvass sheet over the truck to save the goods from being soaked in the rain this evening.
As he did not see that a live high tension line was going over his head which caught him there and he died of electric shock on spot.
His body was shifted for postmortem to District Hospital Kathua which will be conducted tomorrow. The body will be later handed over to his family members for last rites.
The Kathua Police has registered a case under Section 174 RPC.
