RAMBAN, July 21: A conductor of a Kashmir-bound truck was crushed to death under the wheels of the vehicle near Nehar area falling under the jurisdiction of police station Ramban.
“Identified as Charanjeet Singh (45), son of Makhan Singh, a resident of Gurdaspur (Punjab), the conductor was repairing his vehicle bearing registration number PB02CC-9035 when the accident occurred, a police official said, adding that he died on the spot.
He said that body was sent for postmortem in District Hospital Ramban while a case FIR number 163 under Section 304-A/279 RPC was registered in this connection at police station Ramban and investigation started.
