Justifying the demand, Ajay Bhat who is on fast unto death along with two other youth Sunil Pandita and Rajinder Pandita said that for last five years the Government did not enhance the relief and in view of skyrocketing prices it has become too difficult for a family provided meager cash doles from the Government to make its both ends meet. “We are left with no alternative but to commit self immolation in case the demand was not settled within the stipulated time” Ajay added.
The protesting relief holders also alleged lack of medicare facilities and accused the medical authorities of the camp for not taking proper care of the deteriorating condition of fasting youth. One more youth Kaka Ji Kachroo also joined the fasting relief holders today.
However, this allegation was totally turned down by BMO Dansal who said that proper medicare facilities have been provided to the fasting youth and he was himself camping at Jagti yesterday up to 8 pm.
