Condemnation pours in over killing of cop, non-local labourer

JAMMU, Sept 18: Condemnation poured in over killing of police cop Bantu Sharma and non-local labourer by militants in Wanpoh area of District Kulgam yesterday.
Youth Wing of Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today held a protest and burned effigy of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan to send a strong message to Pakistan to stop aiding and supporting the terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, the protesters, in the shape of a rally, paid tributes to J&K Police cop Bantu Sharma. The rally was led by Rajat Singh Manhas while Sudesh Singh Manhas, Happy Singh Jamwal, Shubham Singh, Aman Singh, Jaipal Mehta, Surinder Singh and Honey Manhas were also present.
Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari condemned the killing of a cop and a non-local labourer in Kulgam district who were shot dead in two separate attacks.
Terming the incidents as barbaric, Bukhari said the mindless violence causing bloodshed of innocent and poor people is adding to the sufferings of people in Jammu and Kashmir. He demanded a probe into these killings.
Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha led by its Chairman/President Ramesh Chander Mahajan strongly condemned the cowardly killing of J&K Police cop Bantu Sharma and Shankar Choudhary from Bihar in Kulgam district.
Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee strongly condemned the killing of J&K Police Cop and non-local labourer in Kulgam District. In a statement, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee termed the killing of cop and non-local labourer as ghastly act aiming to vitiate atmosphere and demanded that perpetrators of the crime should be identified for exemplary punishment.
