JAMMU, July 25: Various organizations of Kashmiri Pandits have expressed concern over nonpayment of pay dues to PM package employees working in Kashmir for the month of June.
In a joint statement issued here, today P L Koul Budgami, convener Kashmir Hindu Conference (KHC) and a Trade Union leader and Raj Nath Raina a social activist and trade unionist has expressed their grave concern over the role of some drawing and disbursing officers in Kashmir for not releasing the salaries for the month of June to package employees who are totally hard pressed.
They said the pay dues for the month of June 2022 in favour of some of the PM Package employees have been kept withheld in the Accounts and Treasuries Department. It is totally grass violation of the concerned DDOs, they added.
They said the concerned employees approached the Director General Accounts and Treasuries but to no avail. The employees have to look after their families which is very difficult in these hard times.
The Nodal Officer appointed for the redressal of package employees problems has also proved ineffective in this case. Officers responsible for teasing package employees and with holding salaries may be asked to explain the cause of this grave negligence, they said.
