Concern over water scarcity in Kishtwar

JAMMU, Mar 8: Congress leader and member Gandhi Global Family, Shamsher Singh Bhandari has expressed serious concern over the failure of the authorities to solve the drinking water problem in Kishtwar district especially in the town.
In a statement issued here, today he said people of the district in general and Kishtwar town in particular are facing acute problem of drinking water and despite repeated pleas to authorities they failed to solve the issue.
Bhandari demanded that efforts be made on war footing basis to settle the drinking water issue of the people.
He also expressed concern over shortage of staff both doctors and para -medical assistants in Primary Health Centers of PHC Chatru, PHC Dachan and PHC Paddar as well as DH Kishtwar. Bhandari demanded that critical care ambulance may be made available in Kishtwar for emergency purposes.
