Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, July 6: The inmates of Jagti township have demanded improvement in water supply as they are facing acute scarcity of drinking water.
In a joint statement P L Thusu and Sunil Pandita social activists have made an appeal to Government to look into the problem as the water supply scheme has failed to cater to the needs of the camp inmates since its inception.
They said though the issue was taken up with the concerned authorities and the higher ups in Government also but they failed to settle the issue with the result the camp inmates are facing water scarcity throughout the year in general and Summer season in particular.
Both Thusu and Pandita have sought the intervention of Lt Governor and concerned Advisor into the matter and urged them to settle the issue so that the camp inmates will heave a sigh of relief.
