Concern over prolonged power cuts in Jagti township

JAMMU, Nov 30: Expressing serious concern over plight of displaced Kashmiri Pandits from Valley, Sunil Pandita a social activist at Jagti township today alleged that the present Government at Centre has totally ignored the displaced people living in camps and non camps at Jammu and other parts of the country.
Pandita, while addressing a meeting of the displaced people today said that the community had pinned high hopes in the present Government which have been dashed to the ground as sufferings of people have increased under present dispensation.
He expressed grave concern over the prolonged power cuts in Jagti township and demanded immediate improvement in power supply.
He said the Government has totally ignored the hike in cash assistance despite the fact that the prices of essential commodities have sky rocketed. He said the displaced Pandits have been ignored while extension of benefits under various Central Government schemes.
