KISHTWAR, Dec 9: The civil society of Kishtwar and unemployed youth in a meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of Shamsher Singh Bhandari member civil society and senior Congress leader has expressed concern over the silence maintained by the Government over the construction of Rattle Power Project on which the work has been abandoned over one and half year back.
The meeting in an appeal to Government urged it to take immediate steps in resuming the work on this fantastic power project which besides solving the power problem of the State to a great extent can also become a source of employment for local youth.
The meting said the youth working in the project are in total desperation as they have become totally idle. Moreover delay in the construction will also lead to price escalation and a loss to State exchequer.
Bhandari also demanded that construction be started on other power projects like Barsar and Paccal Dool so that State can not only over come the power crisis but also earn revenue from surplus power.
