Concern over delay in publication of list by SSRB

JAMMU, Feb 18: The candidates who had appeared in the interview for the post of drivers conducted by the Service Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) in June 2014 have demanded the publication of the list of selected candidates immediately.
The candidates who have appeared in the driving test and interviews today said that a notification for the appointment of drivers in various departments was issued by SSRB vide Notification Number 3 of 2012 dated 28-12-2012 and interviews were conducted in June last year over a gap of two years.
They said even after the lapse over seven months after the interviews the SSRB has failed to publish the list of selected candidates so that the appointment orders by the concerned departments could be issued in favour the candidates.
In an appeal to Governor N N Vohra these candidates have sought his immediate intervention in the matter so that the deserving candidates can get justice. They also decried the slow pace of functioning of SSRB and said that delaying the recruitment process for over two years is slated to hamper the progress of the State.
