KISHTWAR, Apr 26: BJP leader Th. Ravi Kumar has expressed serious concern over the delay in construction of Dachan Patimohalla road.
In a statement issued here today he said it is unfortunate that the 27 kilometre road the construction of which was taken in hand over two years back is still incomplete with the result the people of the remote area were facing many hardships especially in shifting the patients to hospitals during emergencies.
Highlighting the other problems he said that there is also shortage of ration at CAPD shops and no steps are taken by the concerned authorities to maintain the proper supply despite the fact that the area has faced droughts for last many years.
Ravi Kumar, who is the district Kishtwar vice president of BJP said that solar lights have been given to people in other areas of Kishtwar district while the Dachan has been totally ignored.
He demanded that solar lights be provided to the people of the area. He also took the Government to task for its failure in enhancing the wages of VDCs and SPOs and demanded their regularisation in view of their commendable role in fighting terrorism in the remote and far-flung areas of erstwhile Doda district.
