KISHTWAR, May 22: Expressing concern over slow pace of work on Rattle Power Project in Kishtwar district, the unemployed youth in their meeting today accused the concerned agencies which have been assigned the job of constructing the project by State Government of ignoring the local youth by bringing both skilled and unskilled labourers from other States.
The meeting which was chaired by senior Congress leader Shamsher Singh Bhandari said that GVK which was given the contract of the project by State Government has abandoned the work and sublet it to LNT but the work is going on snails pace which will delay the construction of the project.
The meeting further said that the LNT instead of recruiting the local youth has brought manpower from outside the State ignoring the local youth. It said in view of the growing unemployment in district Kishtwar, the youth will come to streets and launch an agitation the entire responsibility of which will lie on Government.
