JAMMU, Apr 18: BJP spokesperson, Zorawar Singh Jamwal has claimed that the decision of J&K Government to remove Urdu as the sole eligibility criterion for recruitment to the posts like Naib Tehsildar, Tehsildar and Patwari will benefit the educated unemployed youth of J&K.
He stated that the reform will ensure equal opportunity and will broaden access to the government jobs.
Raising concerns over the functioning of the Revenue Department, Jamwal pointed out that although there is a provision for applying for Fard/ Intekhaab online, in most cases applicants do not receive the documents digitally even after completing the due process as unnecessary objections are often raised, forcing citizens to run from pillar to post to obtain these essential documents.
In a handout he urged the administration to take effective steps to ensure that the online system functions in both letter and spirit.
“Complete digitalization of the Revenue Department is essential to enhance transparency, improve efficiency, and eliminate corruption,” the BJP leader maintained.
