Entire Kahra block to be electrified by Sept 2019

KISHTWAR, Sept 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), vice president and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today said that he is committed of provide access of electricity to every village in block Kahara of Inderwal constituency by September 2019.
While addressing series of public meetings at Chabba, Batogra, Butt Mohallah, Fareedabad, Gwas, Naan, Trankhle, Malanoo areas of Tehsil Kahara, in Inderwal constituency today, the MLa claimed that all the remaining villages of Kahra block would be electrified within next one year.
He claimed that the electrification drive is being covered under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) phase II, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojna (DDUJY) and Saubhagya schemes. He said these schemes remained a non-starter because of no response from the contractors, now finally these schemes have been allotted and the work will be started within a month.
Under these schemes, it had aimed to connect all the villages with electricity and all the villages have been sanctioned. The list of un-electrified villages of Inderwal constituency was submitted to higher authorities for sanctioning one in 2013, another in 2015 and recently in 2017.
While reiterating Congress party’s to resolve to change fate of the people of the State, Saroori said that only Congress party has a visionary agenda to solve political, economic and developmental problems of the State. He reminded the people that the previous UPA led Government had implemented its pro-people agenda and set an example of good governance. “Congress leaders don’t indulge in self praising but the people have themselves realized that the Congress Government had taken radical steps to solve day today problems of the common masses and to bring transparency and accountability in the governance”, he said and reminded that it was all due to sincere efforts of Sonia Gandhi, Dr Manmohan Singh, Rahul Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad that our Government had earned credibility of the people as compared to present regime.
Calling upon the people to compare PDP-BJP regime mis-governance with 36 months short tenure of Ghulam Nabi Azad, he said that we had mitigated woes of the common masses through our pro-people policies.
