Communal politics

Sir,
Now when the Parliament elections in the country are in full swing the propoganda of different political parties in the country has shot up. So far so good, but at the same time one feels sad when some politicians play communal card during campaigning. For their personal gain they exploit the voter in the guise of raising communal passions.
In Jammu and Kashmir, we witness some political stalwarts raising issues like aborgation of Article 35-A etc which is presently in the Supreme Court and it is futile exercise to speak anything before hand. It is mere a political gimmick to lure voters in favour. Some political people advocate pre-1953 position for Jammu and Kashmir and in addition talk about a separate PM for the State and one is at a loss to understand that when in power they never uttered a single word with regard to the same. Some speak that our security forces have to be reduced in the valley but with this help in eliminating militants.
These traits cannot play any positive results in today’s atmosphere as the people have grown matured now and they are able to judge between right and wrong. Appealing minorities to cast vote in favour of a particular party candidate is shameful.
