Committee constituted for updation of Govt websites

JAMMU, Feb 13: Government today accorded sanction to the constitution of a committee for continuous and concurrent updation of official websites of various Government Departments and Districts of the Union Territory of J&K.
According to the Government order, the committee will be chaired by Secretary to Government, Information Technology (IT) Department while State Informatics Officer, National Informatics Centre (NIC), Civil Secretariat, Jammu will be its member. Besides, one representative of J&K e-Governance Agency (JaKeGA) will be nominated as member of the committee by Secretary to the Government, Information Technology Department.
The committee shall ensure that all Government websites are updated regularly by departments/districts and have easy interfaces/access to all important circulars/notifications/acts. It will monitor and guide NIC in designing Government websites so as to make them more informative, interactive and user-friendly. The committee shall also ensure that websites become easy means for accessing/enrolling in Government schemes/programmes.
