JAMMU, May 19: Government today accorded sanction to the constitution of a committee for effective implementation of the measures for relief and credit support related to businesses, especially the MSMEs, announced by the Government of India under the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan (ANBA).
According to the order, Commissioner/Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department will be the chairman of the committee while Secretaries of Planning, Development & Monitoring Department, Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Tourism Department, Managing Director (MD) Power Distribution Corporation Limited, Jammu/Kashmir, MD J&K Bank and Transport Commissioner J&K will be the members of the committee.
“Besides, representative(s) of Finance/Agriculture Production/ Horticulture/Housing/Power Development/Animal & Sheep Husbandry Departments not below the rank of Additional Secretary will be the member(s) of the committee,” the order said. It further stated that the committee shall be serviced by Industries & Commerce Department and shall submit its recommendations within seven days.
