Committee constituted for allotment of JKEL-2 vends

JAMMU, Apr 11: Government has constituted a committee for supervising the process of allotment of retail liquor vends (JKEL-2) licenses in favour of the successful bidders during the process of e-auction conducted by the Excise Department as per J&K Excise Act Svt 1958 and rules framed there under as well as Excise Policy 2021-22.
According to the order, Excise Commissioner Rahul Sharma is the chairman of the committee while Rajneesh Gupta (Additional Secretary, Finance Department) and Jaswinder Pal Singh (Deputy Director Codes, Finance Department) are its members. “The committee may, if it deems appropriate, co-opt an officer of the Legal Section of the Finance Department,” the order said.
The order further reads that the Committee shall be competent to clarify any doubt or difficulty that may arise in relation to the interpretation of the terms and conditions of the Bid Document relating to the procedure for allotment of retail liquor vends (JKEL-2) licenses through the process of e-auction in Jammu and Kashmir.
