Committed to revive SAC: Khan

JAMMU, Oct 8: Newly appointed Chairperson of State Accountability Commission (SAC), Justice (retd), B A Khan today took stock of the complaints pending with Jammu wing.
Justice Khan, who conducted first visit of Jammu wing of State Accountability Commission after taking over its head, said “earnest efforts are being made to revive the panel and put it back on track”.
He was accompanied by SAC member Justice (retd) J P Singh during his visit to the Commission’s office here.
Replying to a question about present affairs of the Commission, he said, “it was lying in defunct condition and earnest efforts are being made to review and put it back on track”, adding “Commission will enquire into all pending complaints”.
He said that Commission would start its functioning at Jammu from October 9 to 13, adding the Commission has notified for the information of general public that it (Commission) shall be holding its sitting at Jammu from October 9 to 13 and all those persons whose complaints are pending in Jammu wing may approach the Commission so that further action on their complaints is considered.
