JAMMU, May 9: IGP Jammu Zone Dr SD Singh Jamwal exhorted upon the officers to come up to the expectation of the general public by way of performing their duties sincerely and professionally.
He said this while reviewing the functioning of the Police Department at Doda. He also held meeting with the officers and jawans of DPL Doda.
SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir, ASP Headquarters Doda Vinay Kumar, ASP Bhaderwah Shaazad Salaria, DySP Headquarters Doda Iftkhar Ahmed, DySP DAR DPL Doda Nazir Ahmed Ganai, SDPO Bhaderwah, Brijesh Sharma besides NGOs and others participated in the meeting.
During meeting, SSP Doda briefed IGP Jammu Zone about welfare measures taken for the welfare of jawans. Ample opportunity was provided to the jawans and officers to put forth their problems. The problems of jawans and officers were heard patiently and were assured that their raised genuine grievances will be addressed.
Later, IGP Jammu Zone Jammu held meeting with prominent citizens including members of various political parties, ward members, sarpanchs, panchs, social workers and police officers of district Doda.
SSP Doda requested the general public to put forth their suggestions and grievances before IGP with regard to the police working in district Doda and other issues and suggestions pertaining to the maintenance of law and order.
IGP gave patient hearing to the issues like drug and liquor menace, traffic problem and other issues raised by the general public.
He assured that all of their genuine issues would be redressed on priority and issues pertaining to other departments would be communicated to concerned quarters for their immediate action. He also requested the people to come forward with the feedback about the police working in their respective areas and suggestions to bring overall improvement in the system.
“Police would leave no stone unturned in providing best clean transparent administration in district Doda”, IGP said and sought public help to eradicate social evils from the society and maintain communal harmony and brotherhood in district Doda.
