Today terrorism has become a tool for initiating a process of destabilization. So far as terrorism in Jammu & Kashmir is concerned it owes its origin in the neighbouring country. It is also unfortunate to mention here that some people try to gain political mileage while encouraging such elements directly or indirectly. On the one hand such people take oath of allegianee towards the motherland and at the same time they work in a such a way that weakens the unity and solidarity of the country. How long this double standard policy will be carried on is a million dollar question for the people of the country that needs to be pondered? Since terrorism has been imposed upon us and as such we have to check it effectively by efficient policing and intelligence work. We may adopt strict measures by which terrorism can be countered. Individuals who are threatened must be provided with secure environment so that they can put their best at work.
There should be coordination between intelligence organizations and para-military agencies in all circumstances whether odd or even and secrecy has to be maintained strictly from bottom to top. Time has come when we need conviction and will to fight this ghost of terrorism with might and grit.
