JAMMU, June 24: To lodge protest against the alleged discriminatory approach of the State Government towards the colleges affiliated with the Jammu University, a protest dharna will be held by the Forum of Recognized Colleges (FORCE) on June 26.
Decision in this regard was taken during a meeting of the FORCE, held here today under the chairmanship of S Harbans Singh, president FORCE.
The Forum expressed shock and anguish over the alleged discriminatory attitude of the present State Government towards the affiliated colleges located in Jammu province as compared to Kashmir province in respect of the duration of B Ed and M Ed courses and also the other requirements laid down for the admission process
It was felt by all members of Forum that it is a clear case of discrimination against the affiliated colleges with Jammu University and also the students of Jammu. It was unanimously decided to hold a protest dharna in front of the Press Club Jammu at 10 am on June 26 (Friday). A number of students is also likely to join the protest.
