RAMNAGAR, Jan 15: Former MLA and Spokesman of State BJP, Ranbir Singh Pathania today termed sanctioning and establishment of Degree Colleges at Majalta and Dudu Basantgarh as a watershed in transforming educational scenario in Ramnagar.
While addressing a largely attended ‘Karyakarta Bhaitak’ here today, Pathania said that Degree Colleges at Majalta and Dudu-Basantgarh were long pending demands of these far flung areas, as many school going students, especially females, had to leave their studies mid-way due to lack of access to higher education.
While Degree College Majalta is already operational and regular classes are being conducted benefitting a large number of students, Pathania elucidated that with active support from Union Govt, new college at Dudu Basantgarh shall be developed and nurtured as a ‘Model Degree College’ with all the modern facilities including well equipped laboratories, library, and computer labs.
On the occasion, people of the area attributed the achievement as a result of untiring hard work and painstaking efforts of Pathania who took up the issue at various appropriate forums and this long pending demand was fulfilled.
Later a delegation of Sarpanches and Panches who had come all along from the area of Dudu Basantgarh, felicitated Pathania for getting a full fledged Degree College sanctioned in the hilly, backward, poverty-stricken area. The delegation apprised that sanctioning of degree college has spread a wave of ecstasy among the people of the area, especially student community who will be benefitted from the College.
Pathania said that he believes in delivering rather than boasting and sanctioning of two degree colleges for Ramnagar constituency i.e, Degree Colleges at Majalta and Dudu-Basantgarh are a major milestone on the path of development. “I am s committed to the all-round development of the Ramnagar constituency and many more developmental projects for development of Ramnagar constituency are in offing,” he added.
