College teachers apprise Education Minister of their demands

JAMMU, July 27: A delegation of College Teachers Association called on Education Minister Naeem Akhter and discussed with him various problems being faced by them.
The delegation, led by CTA president  Dr Sanjay Verma, demanded removal of anomalies of SRO 124, creation of post of Professor in colleges, retention of duty of the college teachers engaged in exams during the summer vacations, extending the benefit of SRO-222 to the college teachers and  changing the nomenclature of PTI in colleges.
The Association also discussed the issue regarding increment on placement from one grade pay to other.
The Minister gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured to look into all the demands positively.
The delegation comprised of Prof M S Saini, Prof Sunil Gupta, Prof Narayan Dutt, Prof Hans Raj and Prof Vishal Sharma.
