REASI, Nov 20: A student of BA final year in Government Degree College Reasi committed suicide by hanging self at his residence, here today.
According to Police, Rajesh Kumar (21), son of Mohar Singh of Sersundwa, presently putting up at Ward number 2, Reasi, was found hanging with a plastic rope from the ceiling fan in his room.
On being informed, a Police party from PS Reasi rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to District Hospital Reasi for postmortem and other legal formalities.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC.
