JAMMU, Sept 5: General Secretary JK Apni Party, Former Chief Secretary and ex MLC of erstwhile J&K state Vijay Bakaya today released a collection of poems entitled “La’lvin Dha’g”, authored by Kusum Dhar Sharda here today.
While speaking, Bakaya said that the contributions made by the female poets has greatly enriched the Kashmiri poetry, and the achievements in the field of literature are the telltale signs of the cultural heights attained by the natives of JK for millenniums.
The function was organized by ‘Chinar Art Foundation’.
Prominent among those who attended the function were Prof PN Trisal, PN Shad, Aseer Kishtwari, Brij Nath Betab, ML Pandita, BN Abhilash, Tej Sagar, Sateesh Safeer, Rinkoo Koul, Ashok Koul, Veer Ji Sumbly and Bimla Aima.
Brij Nath Betab and Bimla Aima presented the ‘Papers’ and complimented Kusum Dhar for her remarkable contribution to ‘Kashmiri poetics’.
Prof RLShant attended the book release function through the virtual mode, and presented the “Paper”.
The author interacted with the guests and gave an account of her book “La’lvin Dha’g”.
The charm and the gaiety of the lively musical performance, presented during the function, by Rajesh Kher, Palavi Koul and Vishal Pandita, enthralled the audience.
Chinar Art Foundation acknowledged and recognized the dedication, devotion and selfless services of freelance Artists Vijay Dhar, Kamal Razdan, Bihari Kak, Ravi Raz, Vinay Raina, Sunil Koul, Ashok Kallu, BN Abhilash, Rajinder Aagosh and AK Naz in promoting the art, culture and languages of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir, and those present during the function were felicitated.
Earlier, Rajesh Kher, Secretary of Chinar Art Foundation, delivered the welcome address and in the end, Sachin Dhar presented the vote of thanks.
The function was anchored by Pran Pandit, Patron in Chief of Chinar Art Foundation and Meenal Peer, an ace drama artist.
