JAMMU, Jan 14: Colonel Rohit Singh Sahi, a resident of Jammu and an alumni of GGM Science College has been awarded “Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card” for “Distinguished service” on the occasion of 68th Army Day of the Indian Army tomorrow.
Col Sahi is a highly decorated third generation Army officer and has earlier been awarded ”Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card” for gallantry in J&K and 4 different Indian Army Commanders Commendation Cards during his 23 years of service in the Army.
The officer has also received Army Commander, US Army South-Pacific Command Appreciation Medal and a Commendation medal from the Canadian Army chief.
Col Sahi is a Post-Graduate and is pursuing his PhD in Management from a University in Delhi. The officer attributed his success in the Army to the guidance received from his parents and family.
The officer is currently posted in a sensitive appointment as Deputy Director General within Government of India and is based at New-Delhi. Col Sahi gets Army Chief’s commendation
