NEW DELHI, Feb 8: In restricted activity, coconut oil prices strengthened by Rs 60 per tin at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market on rising demand alongwith higher advices from southern region.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Marketmen said rising demand alongwith higher advices from southern region mainly pushed up coconut oil prices.
In the national capital, coconut oil strengthened by Rs 60 to Rs 1,550-1,600 per tin.

Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,160-1,290.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,700, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,950-2,000, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,400, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,290-1,370, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,375-1,475, Sunflower 6,300, Sesame Mill Delivery 11,500, Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 7,400, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 7,100, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,150, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,200, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,500, Palmolein (Kandla) 6,100, Rice Bran (phy) 3,800 and Coconut (per tin) 1,550-1,600.
Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,400, Mahuwa 4,000, Castor 9,350-9,450, Neem 5,280-5,380, Rice Bran 3,170-3,270 and Palm Fatty 3,225-3,300.
